The Muslim Association for the Advancement of Science (MAAS) established on 30/04/1983 at Aligarh by a group of young scientists, inspired to extending their benevolence and committed to the task of empowering the marginalized and left behinds with science. They took it as their life long mission, and the fervour and thrill so created drove them to carve out unique programmes and activities which on the one hand were rooted in the critique of modern scientific thoughts and ideas and on the other hand represented the ethics & morality based spirit of enquiry and policy of imitative-innovative assimilation.

The Uniqueness of MAAS' endeavour and spirit has successfully attracted people both from within and outside India. Their intellectual support and generosity has rendered it possible for MAAS to express satisfaction while taking stock of our past activities and the direction we had chosen for fashioning our approach. The ultimate objective of rendering the present day culture, in whatever limited sense it may be, to a morality based socio-scientific culture is although far away but the need and urgency of this objective has been realized in every quarter which can be influential in making it a reality in times to come. No human mission can be flawless and free from failure but it is the spirit and dedication which renders it meaningful and worthy of seeking divine bestowal. With all humility and humbleness we place on record some of our activities.
